Forever addicted to online gaming and huge Nascar fan, Ted has been waiting to enter the world of online racing after racing in the N.A.S.S.C.A.R. offline series back in infant years of the league. A brief stint with the Mars Truck series in 2000 using Nascar Racing 3 had to be ended due to a poor dial-up connection and so he waited impatiently for broadband and still felt deep loyalties to N.A.S.S. and a desire to race there again. Running just a few races toward the end of the 2003 season, he's still a rookie at heart and looking to find his place and acceptance in the N.A.S.S. Thunder and Trucks divisions this season and ultimately have a lot of fun in the process.

Barrett Canning says he grew up a Richard Petty fan and always enjoys watching the Petty Enterprises cars today. Canning goes on to clarify, "Although I owe my dedication to Ricky Craven as he is from my home state of Maine. I used to watch him race on Sat. nights at the local short track in Unity Maine. I never dreamed I was watching a future Nextel Cup driver. One of my favorite places to visit is Craven Motorsports located in my home town of Belfast Maine Run by Ricky's sister. My condolences to the family as I have heard that it was lost due to fire in '03."
Barrett's been racing the Papyrus NASCAR family of Sims since they were first released in 1996. He competed on and off in the N.A.S.S. Offline series from '97 to '99. "Due to moving, school and other obligations", Canning explains, "I was never able to complete a full season. 2002-2003 was my rookie year in the N.A.S.S. Online Series in the THUNDER Division. My first win came at Darlington, a track I've always loved." As of the start of the 2007 season Canning has completed 3 & ˝ seasons in The Nass thunder division. Over his thunder career Canning had 98 starts, 9 wins and 2 Championships (2004 & 2006). Canning is tied for 3rd all time in top 5 finishes in the thunder division with 57, ranks 5th all time with 81 Thunder top 10's and third in thunder history with 1,525 laps led. After a great thunder career Canning looks ahead to a very challenging full time debut in Lightning in 2007. Canning races a Thomas Super Wheel with a proudly displayed "32" sticker on the left dash board just behind the wheel in honor of Ricky Craven and his Nascar Career.
Adding some personal information, Canning offers, "I currently reside in Billings, Montana where I manage a vending company that services over 800 machines located in bars, taverns, stores, restaurants etc. Much of Barrett's time is spent on the sales, repair and keeping up to date on the latest (arcade) style video games. Yes this does include a yearly business trip to Las Vegas to spend 3 days playing video games! Canning plans to get Married in May of 2008, and states "I should be able to make the race the following Tuesday. The honeymoon, we may have a problem there….honey can I bring my wheel?"

What more can be said about Tim Wortman? Tim is the 'Father' of N.A.S.S., creating this series from the ground up into what it is today. From the first 'Off-Line' races using the old Papyrus Indy 500 games to the initial foray into 'On-Line' racing on the Hawaii servers, Tim has been there to with his eye on the bottom line and the future.
When anyone looks around at what 'On-Line' racing is or has become, Tim Wortman should be one of the first names to come to mind.

Why #51?
If you were to ask me who's my favorite driver, the answer would be "the Ole Pro", Neal Sceva.
Bart and I went to the races at Columbus Motor Speedway every Sunday night. We had our own little competition going on as he pulled for "Gentleman Jim" Cushman in the immaculately prepared #95 Chevy prepared by Jack Jacobs. We both had our share of bragging rights, as these two were always in contention for the win along with Dick Freeman, Don Gregory, Jim Bickersaff, and the list goes on and on. Back in the late 60's and 70's, CMS was packed with fans and racing was intense! Those were the "good old days".
We moved south in 1974 and short track racing has never been the same. Jim Cushman retired and moved to Atlanta where he passed away in 2002. In 1985 cancer took the life of Neal at the age of 62. Neal was truly a racing legend with 615 wins....racing was his relaxation. His home track was Shady Bowl Speedway and he knew the track well with 100+ victories at the DeGraff, Ohio track. Neal was always partial to Fords and his career started in a Model A coupe. In 1970, he captured 17 feature wins driving a Torino. Man, I had the bragging rights that year...LOL. Neal did it on his own as he had no big money or sponsors.
He did venture into the bigger races at times as he won the 1954 Ohio NASCAR Championship and the 1974 ASA Midwest 300 at Salem, Indiana. I believe his last feature win came in 1984. I'll always cherish the memories I have of Neal in his #51. He made an impression on me that will last forever. Every race Bart and I enter in NASS, we both feel the same way...the legends roll on.
I started racing online back in 1999 in the ASA division of the Clean Fun Racing League(CFRL). After racing many races with Tim Wortman, I asked Tim if he could find me a spot in NASS. He was able to get me a start in Lightning, and from that point, my online racing career took off! I owe a lot of my success to Tim and also to Tom Greig for providing two great leagues to race with.

After jealously sitting on the sidelines of the Sim-Racing world; forcing himself to be content with following the efforts of his Son Dan in his N.A.S.S. involvements, Chuck is finally taking the plunge with a full-schedule run in the 2004 N.A.S.S. THUNDER Division.
Chuck’s racing background stretches all the way back to the 1960’s when he used to take his 2-door Pontiac Grand Prix to the local drag strips – an effort which even brought him a few trophies to display. But it was the mid-70s that finally brought “The Chucker” (as the radio world had come to know him) into the world of ‘Roundy-Round Racing’ when he was introduced to the dirt tracks of Eastern Iowa. Using his radio profession as an ‘in’, he quickly immersed himself into the local racing community and within just a couple years he had made the transition from spectator to driver. Once again it was behind the wheel of a Pontiac – now emblazoned with a bright number 90.
Proudly displaying the colors of primary sponsor Koelker's Distinctive Oak Furniture, on his #90, Chuck is now stepping into a full-time ride in the hugely popular N.A.S.S. TRUCKS Division.

Rob Neises began sim-racing in August of 1995, in the now-defunct NASS (then NASSCAR) offline league. In the nearly 10 years since that first race, Rob has amassed over 1000 starts, 125 wins, 60 poles, and 16 division and track Championships.
Rob began running Thunder practices in late 2004, joining on-line racing for the first time since the BETA days of Hawaii in Nascar 1. Over the Winter of 2004-05, Rob ran primarily on-line races in the AeroWars 88 mod, plus a couple NASS Winter Races.
Rob will run NASS on-line as a Rookie-of-the-Year candidate in NASS' Thunder and Truck Divisions. Kansas founded, Coleman Outdoor Products, sponsors the 07 Chevy Monte Carlo, prepared by Outlaw Motorsports.
Rob works for COMCARE-Center City. Sedgwick County's Homeless Program as a Housing Specialist, and Housing Team Leader. Rob and his wife Angie have three children. Ashley is 7, Kaitlyn turns 4 in May, and Robert Cole is turning 2 on March 31st.

Growing up around the "dirt tracks" of Eastern Iowa, Dan knew that racing would be a part of his life forever; hoping to someday be a driver like his father
and two older brothers. Ironically, it was an asphalt track in La Crosse, Wisconsin where he got his first behind the wheel experience.
Dan has been a faithful member of N.A.S.S. since joining the now defunct Off-Line leage in '97. In '98, bored by the A.I., he accepted the invitation
to join the On-Line series and has felt "at home" ever since.
Dan has enjoyed some enjoyable high-lights while racing in N.A.S.S. - he enjoys using Thursday nights as a
'no-pressure' opportunity to simply turn a few laps and have a little fun. He'll jump into his sheet metal grey #09
Truck two or three times a season just to turn a few laps when time allows.
While not enjoying his Sim-Racing addiction, Bailey spends every free moment he can with his two children (Zachary and Allison).
Bailey is also a huge supporter of local racing - on Friday nights he can be found behind the microphone as the Speedway announcer at FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY in Arcadia,
WI - the rest of the week he's either maintaining the FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY web site ( www.foxridgespeedway.com),
writing racing articles for the local newspaper (Winona Daily News - www.winonadailynews.com, All The Dirt Racing news - www.allthedirt.com, or a handful of other
racing web sites and/or monthly glossy racing magazines), or preparing for his racing radio show on KG 95.3 FM (www.winonaradio.com). It's safe to say that racing is in
Bailey's blood . . . and it doesn't appear that it will be gone none to soon!
