BIO:
Gerry is a true sim enthusiast, both on the ground (N.A.S.S. – utilizing NASCAR Racing 2003 Season) and in the air (using FS2004). Gerry has been with N.A.S.S. since the days of off-line racing way back in 1996/1997 and joined the on-line racing world in 1999. For the 2004 season Gerry is proudly sporting the colors of AirCanadian – a Virtual Airline that he has been with since 2000. AirCanadian actually surprised Gerry last year with a special painted Boeing 757 in recognition of and celebrating the sponsorship of his #8 Chevy. Take a moment to checkout pictures of the a/c 757 at his Sim-Flight Image web site.

Gerry is a true fan of NASCAR and loves racing on-line; hoping to be doing this well into his retirement years. Amongst Gerry’s future plans is his wish to someday to see a race live, especially at Daytona or Bristol, which just so happen to be his two favorite tracks.

BIO:
Forever addicted to online gaming and huge Nascar fan, Ted has been waiting to enter the world of online racing after racing in the N.A.S.S.C.A.R. offline series back in infant years of the league. A brief stint with the Mars Truck series in 2000 using Nascar Racing 3 had to be ended due to a poor dial-up connection and so he waited impatiently for broadband and still felt deep loyalties to N.A.S.S. and a desire to race there again. Running just a few races toward the end of the 2003 season, he's still a rookie at heart and looking to find his place and acceptance in the N.A.S.S. Thunder and Trucks divisions this season and ultimately have a lot of fun in the process.

BIO:
There are dedicated N.A.S.S. Sim racers … and then there is Rick Simpson. Rick has been running in a league, of one form or another, run by Tim Wortman for about 10 years. Hard to belive, but Rick started in a Tim Wortman offline league using the Indy500 sim published by Papyrus. He's run in every league Tim Wortman has run since!

With the start of the 2002 Charger Season, Simpson added a new dimension to his race nights as he accepted the role of 2002 CHARGER Division Director.

With the closure of the CHARGER Division, at the end of the '02 season, Simpson was faced with the decision of accepting a promotion up to the competetive LIGHTNING Division or retaining his Director responsibilities in the THUNDER Division. Being the 'Simpson' he is, he chose both!

Chuck Bailey (Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS)
HOMETOWN:
Dubuque, IA  (U.S.A.)
TEAM AFFILIATION:
C&D MOTORSPORTS
TEAM MATE(s):
Dan Bailey
BIO:
After jealously sitting on the sidelines of the Sim-Racing world; forcing himself to be content with following the efforts of his Son Dan in his N.A.S.S. involvements, Chuck is finally taking the plunge with a full-schedule run in the 2004 N.A.S.S. THUNDER Division.

Chuck’s racing background stretches all the way back to the 1960’s when he used to take his 2-door Pontiac Grand Prix to the local drag strips – an effort which even brought him a few trophies to display. But it was the mid-70s that finally brought “The Chucker” (as the radio world had come to know him) into the world of ‘Roundy-Round Racing’ when he was introduced to the dirt tracks of Eastern Iowa. Using his radio profession as an ‘in’, he quickly immersed himself into the local racing community and within just a couple years he had made the transition from spectator to driver. Once again it was behind the wheel of a Pontiac – now emblazoned with a bright number 90.

Proudly displaying the colors of primary sponsor Koelker's Distinctive Oak Furniture, on his #90 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, Chuck is now making the transition from the real dirt/clay ‘bull rings’ to the digitized cyber-speedways and hoping that the formation of C&D MOTORSPORTS, with his long-time N.A.S.S. competitor son, will provide him with the slight edge necessary to make for a successful rookie run in the 2004 N.A.S.S. THUNDER Division.

BIO:
Rob Neises began sim-racing in August of 1995, in the now-defunct NASS (then NASSCAR) offline league. In the nearly 10 years since that first race, Rob has amassed over 1000 starts, 125 wins, 60 poles, and 16 division and track Championships.

Rob began running Thunder practices in late 2004, joining on-line racing for the first time since the BETA days of Hawaii in Nascar 1. Over the Winter of 2004-05, Rob ran primarily on-line races in the AeroWars 88 mod, plus a couple NASS Winter Races.

Rob will run NASS on-line as a Rookie-of-the-Year candidate in NASS' Thunder and Truck Divisions. Kansas founded, Coleman Outdoor Products, sponsors the 07 Chevy Monte Carlo, prepared by Outlaw Motorsports.

Rob works for COMCARE-Center City. Sedgwick County's Homeless Program as a Housing Specialist, and Housing Team Leader. Rob and his wife Angie have three children. Ashley is 7, Kaitlyn turns 4 in May, and Robert Cole is turning 2 on March 31st.

Dan Bailey (Toyota Camry)
HOMETOWN:
Winona, MN  (U.S.A.)
TEAM AFFILIATION:
C&D MOTORSPORTS
TEAM MATE(s):
Chuck Bailey
BIO:
Growing up around the "dirt tracks" of Eastern Iowa, Dan knew that racing would be a part of his life forever; hoping to someday be a driver like his father and two older brothers. Ironically, it was an asphalt track in La Crosse, Wisconsin where he got his first behind the wheel experience.

Dan has been a faithful member of N.A.S.S. since joining the now defunct Off-Line leage in '97. In '98, bored by the A.I., he accepted the invitation to join the On-Line series and has felt "at home" ever since.

While not a driver known to dominate events, the 2002 season was a turning point as Bailey finally broke his five year 160 race winless streak by grabbing the checkered flag at the N.A.S.S. CHARGER Division UAW-GM Quality 200 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte.

In 2003 Dan returned to the THUNDER Division to run the final 8 races of the season before joining Pat McGhie as a Co-Director of the Division in 2004.

2004 turned out to be a banner season for Bailey in the THUNDER Division. Collecting four wins
  1. The February 23rd "Goody's Headache Powder 120" @ NORTH CAROLINA SPEEDWAY (A.K.A., "Rockingham")
  2. The April 19th "Pepsi 140" @ LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY -- Winning from the 'Pole" and leading the most laps (61 of 94)
  3. The October 25th "Sam's Town 'He Dared To Rock' 150" @ MEMPHIS MOTORSPORTS PARK
  4. The "Season Ending" November 22nd "Ford 140" @ HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY -- Winning from the 'Pole' and leading the most laps (50 of 94)
, with four N.A.S.S. ONLINE SERIES Pole Awards,
  1. The April 19th "Pepsi 140" @ LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
  2. The May 3rd "Stater Bros. 150" @ CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY
  3. The June 21st "Meijer 140" @ LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
  4. The "Season Ending" November 22nd "Ford 140" @ HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY
Bailey raced his way to 20 top-5 and 31 top-10 finishes through the 34 race season - ending up with the highest average finishing position of the entire Division roster (5.5) and tying Barrett Canning for the THUNDER Division Championship (the championship was evantually awarded to Canning as both drivers had four wins, but Canning had 22 top-5 finishes compared to Bailey's 20).

In 2005 Bailey enjoyed another successful season in the THUNDER Division, grabbing three wins
  1. The April 18th "O'Reilly 150" @ TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
  2. The May 30th "Carquest Auto Parts 210" @ LOWE'S MOTOR SPEEDWAY
  3. The August 15th "Zippo 80" @ WATKINS GLEN INTERNATIONAL -- Leading every single lap of the 32-lap event!
along with 19 top-5 and 30 top-10 finishes throughout the 35 race season.

The 2006 THUNDER Division season presented Bailey with a mixture of positives and negatives. Through the 35-race year, Bailey wracked up a couple wins
  1. The July 24th "Goody's 150" @ MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY
  2. The September 25th "Dover 120" @ DOVER INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
as well as 13 top-5 and 23 top-10 finishes. But he also suffered through an uncharacteristically high amount of 'off nights', including his first D.N.S. (Did Not Start) since returning to Full-Time THUNDER Division competition back in 2003, which relegated him to a disappointing fourth place finish in the Point Standings.

Bailey continues to attack his THUNDER Division events the same way he has always attacked them, "I want to race as hard and as clean as I can while still having fun and simply enjoying the on-track action with my fellow racers." In addition to his committement to enjoying his Sim-Racing, Bailey is a dedicated competitor - Bailey is third in the all-time starts list in the N.A.S.S. THUNDER Division (167) and currently holds the N.A.S.S. THUNDER Division record for Consecutive Starts - 80 straight (from September 29th, 2003 until March 6th, 2006) . . . a streak which would have continued much longer if it weren't for his ISP failing him on Monday March 13th.

Bailey also led the all-time starts list for the N.A.S.S. CHARGER Division (95 starts with 1 win, 22 top-5s, 62 top-10s, and 2 Pole Awards) during that Division's existence.

Bailey also continues to be an active participant in the highly competetive N.A.S.S. LIGHTNING Division (144 consectutive starts since his promotion to the Division) with 21 top-5s, 74 top-10s and 3 Pole Awards as well as winning the 2005 LIGHTNING Division ShootOut) and has made it into the top-10 "Chase for the Cup" all three season's that the scoring premise has been used in that division. 2006 included another major high-light as Bailey finally picked up his first LIGHTNING Division regular season (points paying) race win - the May 2nd "Aaron's 225" @ TALLADEGA SUPERSPEEDWAY!

In addition to his personal accomplishments, he was also over-joyed when "C&D MOTORSPORTS", the THUNDER Division Team comprised of himself and his Father Chuck, brought home the 2005 THUNDER Division TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP title! Proving that he is a 'team player' this is Bailey's third career N.A.S.S. TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP -- 1999 THUNDER Division TEAM CHAMION ("3rd Millennium Motorsports" with Norm Adkins) & 2003 LIGHTNING Division TEAM CHAMPION ("MINT Motorsports - Team MI" with Dean Moll).

While not enjoying his Sim-Racing addiction, Bailey spends every free moment he can with his two children (Zachary and Allison).

Bailey is also a huge supporter of local racing - on Friday nights he can be found behind the microphone as the Speedway announcer at FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY in Arcadia, WI - the rest of the week he's either maintaining the FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY web site (www.foxridgespeedway.com), writing racing articles for the local newspaper (Winona Daily News - www.winonadailynews.com, All The Dirt Racing news - www.allthedirt.com, or a handful of other racing web sites and/or monthly glossy racing magazines), or preparing for his racing radio show on KG 95.3 FM (www.winonaradio.com). It's safe to say that racing is in Bailey's blood . . . and it doesn't appear that it will be gone none to soon!
